Horseback Riding Lessons in Melbourne, FL!
Horseback riding lessons are for just about everyone. Although there are a lot of riders who are females, there ARE males who also ride. From the childhood dream of owning a pony to the need in adulthood to get back in the saddle or even a new found interest in riding, there is something for everyone when it comes to horses! Aside from creating a bond with an amazing animal, lessons are also a great way for anyone to build confidence, keep in shape, stay active, and achieve goals all while learning at the same time.
Information on Lessons:
Lessons offered in Hunter/Jumper, Basic English, Basic Dressage, Basic Western, Equitation, and Horse Care.
Lessons are given in Melbourne, FL at Bandish Equestrian Stables where there is a large lighted arena and a large lighted round pen used for lessons. The roundpen and arena have lights for anyone who would rather ride in the evening whether it is due to their schedule or they prefer not to ride in the mid-day heat. There are also grassy shaded areas around the property to cool the horses off after a lesson or learn how to ride outside of the arena. Horses and tack are provided.
Accepting students of ALL levels beginner-advanced.
Adults, teens, and children 8+. I prefer that children be ages 8+ because some children that are younger are not at a point where they will follow directions or understand safety rules. Maturity around horses is very important! Children under 8 that are at a high maturity level may be considered.
Safety ALWAYS comes first and I will ensure that each rider is taught if they do not already know how to properly handle, groom, and tack the horses.

What to wear to the barn for a lesson?
Once most riders decide that this is the sport for them, the common outfit is a pair of breeches or riding tights, boots, and a shirt that covers the stomach. Not everyone has that lying around their closet and that outfit is not required--as long as you wear long pants, a boot with a heel(flip flops and sneakers are not safe because the foot could slip through the stirrup or a horse could accidentally step on your foot), and an appropriate shirt. Helmets are REQUIRED for ALL riders, even riders over the age of 18. If you do not own a helmet, I will provide you with one. If you already have a helmet or choose to go out and buy one, it MUST be SEI/ASTM Certified.
